Vodafone Idea Ltd. share price rose on Monday as the company informed the Government of India waived financial bank guarantees for spectrum acquired in past decades. The waive is applicable for bank guarantees acquired in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2021, which is subjected to certain terms and condition.
Stock Market Today: Nifty, Sensex Fall Shortly After Open As Infosys, RIL Share Prices Drag
The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex declined shortly after open as Infosys Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. share prices dragged. As of 09:21 a.m., the Nifty 50 was 21.20 points or 0.1% down at 23,792.20, and the Sensex was 63.56 points or 0.1% down at 78,635.51
Reliance Industries Ltd., HDFC Bank Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., Infosys Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. weighed on the Nifty 50 index.
Bharti Airtel Ltd., Adani Enterprise Ltd., State Bank of India, ITC Ltd., and UltraTech Cement Ltd. limited losses to the benchmark indices.
On NSE, nine sectors declined, two advanced out of 12. The NSE Nifty Oil & Gas declined the most, and the NSE Nifty FMCG rose the most.
Broader markets underperformed benchmark indices. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were trading 0.35% and 0.45% down, respectively.
On BSE, 15 sectors declined, six advanced out of 21. The BSE Utilities rose the most, and the BSE Focused IT declined the most.
Market breadth was skewed in favour of sellers. Around 1,757 stocks declined, 1,395 stocks advanced, and 161 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At pre-open, the NSE Nifty 50 was 0.07% or 16.50 points down at 23,796.90, and the BSE Sensex was 0.08% or 61.17 points down at 78,637.58.
