US share indices ended higher on Monday tracking gains in technology stocks as the US President Donald Trump provided exemption to consumer electronics, and automobile components. Th US announced exemption for smartphones, Computer, hard drives, computer processors, chips, and semiconductors late Friday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 ended 0.78% and 0.79% higher, respectively. The Nasdaq Composite ended 0.64% higher.

GIFT Nifty Implies Muted Open; ICICI Bank, HCLTech, Zydus Life Share Prices In Focus

The GIFT Nifty was indicating a muted start for Indian benchmarks on Tuesday. ICICI Bank Ltd., HCLTech Ltd., and Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. share prices are expected to move because of the news flow over the weekend.

The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.01% or 1.50 points higher at 23,304.00 as of 6:42 a.m.

The benchmark equity indices reversed their single-session decline on Friday as the trade war between the US and China intensified.

The Nifty ended 429.40 points, or 1.92%, higher at 22,828.55, while the BSE Sensex closed 1,310.11 points, or 1.77%, up at 75,157.26 after witnessing a volatile week.
