Macquarie Initiates Coverage On Trent
Macquarie has initiated coverage on Trent Ltd with an “Outperform” rating and a target price of Rs 7,000, implying a 35% upside from current levels.
The brokerage views Trent as a leader in India’s retail space, particularly in value-to-mid-premium fashion, and expects sustained growth driven by favorable tailwinds.

Oil Prices Inch Higher
Brent Crude surged in Thursday’s session to trade at $73.89, up 0.14%. Meanwhile WTI Crude Oil was also up 0.20% trading at $69.79 per barrel.
The volatility comes in the wake of second round of tariffs set to be imposed by US President Trump starting April 2.
Gold Price Trade Above Rs 88,000
On March 27, gold prices in India increased to Rs 88,100 per 10 grams, according to the India Bullion Association.
Prices varied across cities, with New Delhi at Rs 87,790, Mumbai at Rs 87,940, Kolkata at Rs 87,830, Bengaluru at Rs 88,010, and Chennai recording the highest rate in the country at Rs 88,200.
US Market Update: Tech Stocks Decline
On Wall Street big tech stocks led a decline in major benchmarks, reigniting concerns over the economic and inflationary impacts of a trade war.
This downturn was exacerbated when President Donald Trump signed an order implementing a 25% tariff on auto imports, causing a $589 billion exchange-traded fund tracking the S&P 500 (SPY) to drop in late hours .
The S&P 500 slid 1.1%, failing to hold above its key 200-day moving average, while the Nasdaq 100 fell 1.8%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.3%, indicating a broader market decline.
Asia Market Update: Stocks Lower In Early Trends
Most markets in the Asia-Pacific region were trading lower on Thursday morning, as risk-off sentiment heightened among investors after US President Donald Trump announced tariffs on automobiles.
US will levy 25% tariff on all cars not manufactured within the country from April 2.
The Nikkei 225 and Kospi were trading 1.19% and 0.96% down, respectively as of 7:26 a.m. The S&P ASX 200 was down 0.48%.
Gift Nifty At 23,504: Infosys, Maruti Suzuki May Move
On Thursday, Gift Nifty was trading below the 23,700-mark at 23,504, as it gained 11 points or 0.05% as of 07:26 a.m.
Some stocks that may react to recent developments are BSE Ltd., One MobiKwik Systems Ltd. and Vedanta Ltd. among others.
BSE, which is set to consider issuing bonus shares at its board meeting on March 30, may see some movement in its stock price.
One MobiKwik Systems received MCA approval to incorporate a new arm for its securities broking business.
And Vedanta, which has appointed Rajiv Kumar, a veteran from Tata Steel Ltd., as the CEO of its aluminium business, may see some stock action today.
On Wednesday, the benchmark indices ended in the red. Nifty 50 ended the day lower at 23,486.85 and Sensex ended down 77,288.50.
