The brokerage cited robust growth prospects in pre-sales, annuity income, and business development as drivers for its optimistic outlook.

Oberoi Realty share price rose 2.70% to Rs 2,115.95 apiece.

Reliance Power Share Price Hits 5% Upper Circuit 

Reliance Power Ltd. share price hit 5% upper circuit and rose to Rs 41.09 apiece. It remained locked in the upper circuit as of 09:34 a.m., as compared to 0.19% advance in the NSE Nifty 50 index.

Stock Market Live: Nifty, Sensex Open Higher As HDFC Bank, ITC Share Prices Rise

The NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex opened higher as HDFC Bank Ltd. and ITC Ltd. share prices lead. The Indian benchmarks were one of the top gainers in the Asia–Pacific region during open on Wednesday.

As of 09:19 a.m., the Nifty 50 was 24.15 points or 0.1% higher at 24,481.30, and the Sensex was 20.57 points or 0.03% higher at 80,866.32.

“The risk sentients seem to be holding uptight in Indian despite the underwhelming GDP numbers and if the index is able to sustain above 24,500 then we may see further upside towards 24,800. Therefore, we expect Nifty to trade between 24,200 to 24,800 for the day,” said IFA Global Research Academy.

Infosys Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., ICICI Bank Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., and Power Grid Corp of India weighed on the benchmark Nifty 50 index.

On NSE, seven sectors advanced, three declined, two remained largely flat out of 12. The NSE Nifty IT declined the most, and the NSE Nifty Realty rose the most.

Most sectoral indices were trading higher during open.

Broader markets outperformed benchmark indices. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices were trading 0.41% and 0.69% higher, respectively.

On BSE, 20 sectors advanced and one declined out of 20. The BSE Capital Goods rose the most, and the BSE Telecommunication emerged as the worst performing sector..

Market breadth was skewed in favour of buyers. Around 2,132 stocks advanced, 786 stocks declined, and 109 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

Oil Prices Continue To Rise On Supply–Side Worries 

Crude oil prices continued to gain on Wednesday as the worries over supply rose after news report said the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies mulling to delay to revive output for another three months.

“Brent posted it’s biggest gain in two weeks yesterday as it rose 2.5% but was still in the range of 71-76. Investors were monitoring tension in Middle East as Israel said it would continue with the war if their truce with Hezbollah collapses,” said Anil Kumar Bhansali, head, treasury and executive director, Finrex Treasury Advisors LLP.

As of 8:23 a.m., the February future contract was trading 0.08% higher at 73.68 a barrel on the Intercontinental Exchange.

Asia Market Update: Stock Gauges Slide On Tension In South Korea

Asia–Pacific stock gauges declined on Wednesday morning as tension about South Korea’s political stability increased. South Korea President Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law on Tuesday after accusing the opposition of paralysing his administration, which surprised the world, Bloomberg reported.

South Korea is one of the major economy in the world and important in terms of international business.

The KOSPI was 1.87% down and the Nikkei 225 was 0.26% down. The S&P ASX 200 was 0.72% down.

US Market Update: Stocks End Mixed Ahead Of Jobs Data 

US share indices ended on a mixed note after the S&P 500 posted its 55th record in Tuesday’s session. Market participants await US jobs data, and the Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s remarks.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.17% down, and the S&P 500 ended 0.05% higher. The Nasdaq Composite ended 0.40% higher.

GIFT Nifty Near 24,500; ONGC, Reliance Power RVNL Share Prices In Focus

The GIFT Nifty was trading near 24,500. Oil and Natural Gas Corp., Reliance Power Ltd., and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. share prices may react because of the news flow overnight.

The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.06% or 14 points higher at 24,514.00 as of 06:38 a.m.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services expect markets to gain some momentum in the near term on the back of positive global cues, optimism around enhanced government spending and favourable monetary policy changes by the Reserve Bank of India, Research Wealth Management Head said.

Benchmark equity indices gained for a third consecutive session to close at their highest in around a month as global sentiment was uplifted ahead of monthly jobs data from the US and on the back of gains in heavyweights.

Nifty ended 0.75%, or 181.10 points, up at 24,457.15, its highest close since Nov. 6, and Sensex ended 0.74%, or 597.67 points, higher at 80,845.75, its best close since Oct. 21.
