The GIFT Nifty futures, which is an early indicator of the Nifty50 index, was trading 0.24% lower by 54.50 points at 22,960, indicating that the domestic benchmark indices are likely to make a negative start on Friday.
On Thursday, 23 May, Domestic benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex skyrocketed 1,197 points, or 1.61%, to end at 75,418.04 while the Nifty50 traded 370 points or 1.64% higher, and settled at 22,967.65.

HCL Tech: The company is planning to acquire specific intellectual property (IP) and research and development (R&D) assets from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
Kirloskar Industries: NCLT’s Mumbai bench has decided that the company can sell shares in Kirloskar Brothers, but they must first offer them to Sanjay Kirloskar and his nominees.
Paytm: The company is looking to reduce employee costs and is looking to cut around 15-20% of its total workforce during the current fiscal year.
InterGlobe Aviation: The company that runs IndiGo, in its quarterly earnings for January-March, reported a 106.1% year-on-year growth to Rs 1,894.82 crore from Rs 919.20 crore reported in the same quarter last year.
Wipro: Rishad Premji, the company’s executive chairman, did not receive variable or commission pay for the second consecutive year in FY24.
Hinduja Group: The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is hearing a petition filed by the company for an extension to the 27 May deadline to close the bankruptcy proceedings for Reliance Capitals.
